My name is Kelly DeWitt and I am a lifelong resident of Oshkosh, a mom of two and a Merrill Elementary/Middle school Alum running for a seat on the Oshkosh School Board to deliver results for Oshkosh. As a school board member, I will be a champion for all students, parents and staff by focusing on the basics. As a Merrill Alum, I will fight for greater transparency and community input. Finally, I will push for some common sense by keeping cost down and future projects sensible.
I want to give back to the community because I believe that every child, regardless of upbringing, economic status or learning ability, deserves the best public education a district can provide.
Our school board needs to be listening to its community, not the community listening to the board. If elected, I will work hard to ensure that happens.
I would be honored to have your vote April 4th.

I believe that a school board member has a duty to advocate, and stand strong for our students and their families first and foremost. That is why all of my campaign endorsements and donations come from parents , grandparents and community members who are dedicated to supporting and protecting the rights of our children and their families.
Parents and community members, I want you to know that I will never allow our voices to be silenced. I work for YOU AND OUR CHILDREN.

When you have strong, authentic community connections; along with community groups, businesses and schools coming together, young people have the ability to achieve more, want to stay in school longer and they enjoy the learning experience.
Our children deserve the best opportunity they can receive and it starts with a quality education. They are undoubtedly the future builders of society. Each child brings something to the table and that needs to be embraced.
Children are the future of this community and our future depends upon our present children. Investing in our children will not only promote our economic development, it will also strengthen our economic prospects.
